Anna's Retired

AKA THE NUTSHELL, VOLUME 3. After my Mom suddenly died 55 yrs young, I journalled every morning over coffee. When I filled a complete notebook,it represented my life in a Nutshell, which felt "Nuts" at the time. Writing is an armor against what is bothering you, a "shell" of sorts. So I enteratined myself by flipping that journal over and writing "the Nutshell" on the front...I found it so clever I named the second notebook I filled "The Nutshell, Volume 2". Sometimes you feel like a Nut...

The Happenin's

Thanks to Craig's list, Ellen Rose has a new energy burning play set! It's a like a Gerbil wheel/treadmill for toddlers. She just goes and goes. She figured how to climb up the slide in minutes of it being set up. Mike had not even put the tools away yet, and she was scurrying up to the top so she could go down on her belly. And GRIN. Loves it. Absolutely loves it. Then yesterday we went to the park and there was not a soul there. We had it all to ourselves! The fourth picture down was her just standing at the top of the slide checking out the lake. Looks like she needs a nap now that I look at it. Then the last picture is her current favorite game with Lucy. She gets a stick and gives (shoves) it to Lucy who takes it and the next 15 she finds and gives her. So that is the happenin's!!

Ellen's "Aunt Becky"

Thanks for coming to visit us "Aunt Becky"!!! We played outside and went for walk in the wagon and in general just had a lovely afternoon of girl time.

THe best part was when Ellen would scooch as close as she could to Becky while they were sitting together on the deck. I thought Becky was going to cry!!!
